Yes, I do, but only within Australia.

So, what are the LAWS as far as export on captive bred reptiles in Australia. Is it possible or do you just not want to deal with the hassle and paperwork, not everyone wants to. I have seen some awesome monitors that are being bred in Australia and wish that a few could make it to the states. We are lacking in some species that I would love to see available here. Thanks for any info on this topic.

Wow, didn't realise I still had this photo up until I received email notification of your comment. There have been so many babies since this one!

The answer to your question is that there are no exports of reptiles from Australia, CB or otherwise, except from zoo to zoo. Why? Because it would be difficult to tell a CB from a wild caught hatchling (or captive hatched) and it is too easy to find the nests of some species in the wild. It would also be too easy for people to smuggle out rarer animals under the names of common species.

Yeah I figured! I just have high hopes sometimes. I was there in Australia for a while and I saw plenty of signs at the airport saying things about smuggling wildlife. Not to mention Australia is famous for their restrictions on wildlife. I guess that is why you still have many of your animals. I was just hoping that some kind of regulated trade in captive borns might soon become possible. Oh well, have fun and thanks for your reply. Nice pictures and great looking lace monitors. Have fun!
