They actually dont need that much water. But it makes it a little more interesting. You'll realize after a while that a large majority of the time they are going to be on land or 1/2 way out.

I thought that was the case which is why i always assumed that they'd want more land than msot people use but the space which you've given is about average I think... never really considered keeping a caimen altho i'd love to so I never looked in to their care much and it just shows how much wrong there is in how people think anaimals might be cared for. I do love yer setup though, can't wait to see how yer caiman gets on... meanwhile I'll stick to my lizards lol, never had the space for a caiman.
