Ahh, A lefty!
I am left handed also but learned on a right handed model so I just stuck with it. Funny thing is I can shred with the best of them but my strummin' sucks LOL!!
Stick with it, practice a lot and it will pay of in the end.

When I first went to buy it, The guy that worked at the store was also left-handed who played right-handed. I tried both just to see which felt more comfortable, the right-handed guitar just didn't feel right for me so I went with the left. I know alot of simple stuff but nothing really advanced. I did learn Shinedown's '45' which was the first song I learned, It sounds pretty cool.

My brother did the play left on a right-handed guitar thing for the longest time... I tried but I'm not nearly at his level.
Bass is better, anyway.
