how did u get the water to stay in one area like that and not thru the dirt or anything?

there is a mini water fall on the back of the wiwarium. Circulation of water is made using mini water pump hidden in the ground. Bacteria (Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter) clean water from nitric and once weekly we remove mechanically bigger parts of sludge from basin bottom
