Yes, those are scars, during the winter the heat pad in his cage quit working the cage got cool and droped the humidity. He was in shed at the time which was the worst possible thing that could happen. When he shed later the skin peeled deep in some places. Hes now in a new Cage 8ftL 2.8ftH 2ft deep with several heat pads and better with better Humidity. Needless to say I felt horrible.
