You mention that the C. triseriatus is eating crickets... do you have luck getting small montane species to feed on insects if you can't find lizards of appropriate sizes (at least until they get large enough for baby mice)????? Last month I collected a new born Crotalus lepidus klauberi and it's first defication in captivity clearly contained pieces of a centipede (Scolopendra sp.)! Normally- on a larger snake- I would have said it was inside the stomach of a lizard that the snake ate...but this was a newborn snake...and the size of the centipede ate clearly showed it choose to eat it... I've seen pictures and read accounts but my first time actually seeing it for myself. It would be interesting to hear if you have success feeding crickets since tiny lizards are hard to get a steady supply of! Thanks, Graham tityus14@yahoo.com
