Brown recluse spiders should be respected, but not feared. They will not bite unless forced to. And even then only a small % of bites cause irritation to humans. And a very, very small % cause the rotting of skin that these guys are infamous for. Simply check in and under your bed before going to sleep, and check your clothes before putting them on...especially your shoes. They bite when 'pressed' on. I played with this guy for 3-4 minutes before letting him go.
They really are awesome spiders. Oh yeah; WOW, man. wow.

are you sure it's a recluse? They like dark damp areas ard are nocternal. Most that look tike one are really a close cousin. I thought they were way smaller.
