And what do you consider a so called real reptile? A beardie has cold blood doesnt it.

Adorable guy you have there...and don't listen to that guy....It's good to start off small and work up to larger reptiles....Its people that jump into the hobby w/ no real knowledge and buy the largest thing they can afford...that wreck it....And you look like you have a great start w/ that healthy little guy.

Beardies are the best reptile to have if you want a "pet". Most other reptiles I would classify as "animals in captivity", although balls could be called pet snakes, sort of.

Isn't DAchef the one who appears the rookie here, with that bite you got? Not very smart to contradict yourself there buddy. No Reptile is better than another. Everyone has different opinions, thus no one is a rookie for any animal they take of. Last I checked that is a huge responsibility.
