That would be your A tipical Leech. I dont know what kind but that is what it is

I believe this is the very invasive Shovel-headed Garden Worm, Bipalium kewense. They kill other worms and sometimes frogs. So I get rid of them when ever I see them just after a rain. I've even seen them slithering up one of my back doors! Yes, they do look like leeches, however they live in the soil and feed off benefitial organisms.

In NY? Really? I lived there most of my life and never saw anything similar.
I've now seen them up to about 5 inches long - but very thin even when so long....
