thinken it will take 10 or 11 80 pound bags of concrete. pond is 6ft long and cage is 12 so...about 30square feet of bedding will be used. rest will be concrete. Only prolbem im having now is i have it sitting up on blocks of wood. and have 6 225 pound caster wheels. lol but 100 gals of water, all the wood and all the concrete will proly over weigh them wheels. so im thinken im going to have to buy lots more wheels or just keep it up on the blocks. once i figure that out and build a mandoor ill set it up for my monitor to live in and will post more pictures. down the road ill add filtersystem for pond, trees, plants and all the "make you look good" stuff to the cage.

100 gallons of water = about 800 lbs. 10+ bags of concrete = well over 800 lbs. and all the framing etc...yeah, you are going to need heavy duty wheels lol. (I use 6 of those 225 wheels for a 90 gallon tank with cabinet.) This is going to be a nice set up, can't wait to see it finshed!

I just have a quick question. For those of us that do not have the skills already, are there any good books on proper use of these materials as well as which materials are safe for these particular applications. THIS LOOKS AMAZING

not sure about books on how to do's. But pictures and questions or even plans should help. I worked on houses from framing, siden, roofen, wood/tile floors, anything to do with a house i have learned from my job. I now do brick/block work with friends of mine. so im picken up on that now. I had idea of cage in my head and wanted to put in "my room", but it woulda taken up almost all the room. so i went bigger and badder with it in my basement. was going to do small pond but saw bigger for just a few more bucks. wanted sliden glass doors but that would be a pain to make tracks and so on, so i went with 4X8 sheet of plexi framed in. Ill have lizard in cage this weekend and hope to have drain and pipes not leaken so i can run water fall. Ill post pics this weekend if i get it done. But Questions would be best way to build. id be glad to help with any questions that i can answer

Thanks.
I had a question about the drain. Are you going to put a bulkhead fitting in the bottom of the pond from Lowes. If so, do you plan on cementing the pond itself as well. I guess you will have the bulkhead run into a true union ball valve and then into the drain. I am just trying to figure it out so I can try and do something nice for my crocodilians. looks great.
