Here's another sculpture I am working on, I began this one before the cottonmouth, but will wait until I finish the cottonmouth because the mold making on this one is going to be a little tricky, and will take more time.

The other side on this one still needs to be detailed and finished as well.

Wow! Your sculptures are beautiful! What do you use? Is it sculpted by hand or is it first made form a basic mould?

Thanks, It is sculpted by hand using an oil-based clay that doesn't dry...I guess that's why it's been sitting collecting dust. I can take forever to work on it, but the dis-advantage to using oil-based clay is that a mold must be made in order to make a finished paintable piece.

It's going to be a real pain to mold this one because each jaw is seperate, so I will have to make two molds.

I actually plan to make more than one when the mold is made. I will keep the pics updated and post one of a final finished piece....it may be a while though.
