Hey, I really like that tank. I'm curently building a semi-aquatic tank of my own and was wandering what type of moss that was and where you got it. Definantly a 10/5. Any help would be appreciated.

That's Java moss, which I've found to be ideal for anything, as long as you have light. It grows both on land and in under water, will climb the water falls. The left side is a tree fern panel capped with cork bark that hides the water fall outlets and guides the water downward. I just poked some holes in the tubing along the top and plugged the end with Silicone. Water flows down the entire breadth of that side and over a log which is hard to see. The pump is in the back corner under smooth rocks that can be easily removed if there are pump problems. Right side is woven cocoanut fiber matting with cork bark and sphagnum. I've since put some plants on top such as Tillandsias, Rhipsalis, things that like it more dry. False bottom is made from Coco Tek Grow Slab siliconed into a box-like structure, and the substrate is on top of a thicker slab of this same stuff supported here and there with pillars of PVC. This is rubberized cocoanut fiber used in hydroponics. I'm really pleased with how this appears to be working. The frogs (Dendrobates azureus) for it aren't due for another couple of weeks, and it's been cycling for a couple of months now.

You can usually get Java moss from Black Jungle. Someone told me recently they were out of it at this time. I don't see how, because it's enthusiastic stuff. Let me know if you want any other info.
