Both set-ups look great. The only suggestion I would have is maybe getting a background, you probably know where to find them, fish & pet stores. It's totally your preference though. I theorize that backgrounds give animals a 'safe' feeling like they are close to a wall. Most of my nocturnal frogs spend the day curled up in a corner by the bacground. I like that set-up just like that too.
