found at approx. 5850ft elev.
of Davis Mountains
in far West Texas.

seems to have mouth parts like a tick

very flat.... sheds exo.

what do they eat?

Those look like lady bug larvae to me, cause i see lady bug larvae's around my house that look just like those you picture..

beetle larvae of some kind. could be ladybugs.

these look like firefly larvae to me, ive seen them before, and they look a lot like these

Looks like one of the many carrion beetles larvae,how big are they and did you see any "beetles" around where you found these?If indeed they are carrion beetle larvae they eat...carrion hence the mouth parts.

they look like firefly larva to me too. some people call them glow worms.
