First I took polystyrene insulation material and used a hot glue gun to glue it on to the walls and floor. Then I put several layers of tile adhesive and tile grout on to make it strong and hard. Next I sealed it with one layer of tile sealant. Then I painted it with a base coat of brown paint mixed with sand for texture. I then drybrushed on a coat of off white paint to make it look like "real rock". Finally I sealed it up with one more layer of tile sealant.

Great cage setup. I've heard some other guys that make rock walls talk about using an enviromentally safe or non-toxic sealant. Did you find such a sealant? If so which brand?
