Keywords: unknown spider
I live in the Seattle area and have never seen a spider like this before...so what is it. Is there anything to worry about?
I was working on my truck (putting in an engine I got from Minnesota) when it ran by. So, I don't if it was a stow-away, or something new in the neighborhood.
The spider you have there is a male trap-door spider
a type of tharaphosid

I live in the Shoreline area and a big male crawled in the house and the only I can describe it is "Burly"! Don't know what it is but it's native. I remember seeing them as a kid over in Kitsap.
