Got this little snake (unsexed) 05 hatchling at a local reptile shop. They didn't know when exactly it was hatched but you can still tell where the belly was slit in egg so i assume only a few sheds ago. My second snake (i also have a 03 normal corn snake for 11 months now)

Had a piece of shed on it's forehead (visible in photo) which i gently removed after placing it in a damp bag to loosen it. i then took a wet q-tip and dabbed it to make sure it was good and loose and it just slid off.

Turns out this little snake is a great eater, I fed it for the first time in my care last night. Within 2 seconds of dangling a f/t mouse it struck it, constricted for about a minute before swallowing it down. The place I got it from was feeding live, but I wanted to switch to f/t and was happy with the results, no hesitation at all.

Sure is a different experience then feeding my corn snake. He just slowly slithers up to the mouse sniffs around to find the head and gently takes it and swallows it.
