I am in Pensacola FL. She was HUGE. She had almost no coloration on her head or legs, just what you see on her shell. Unfortunately, the eggs should have hatched about 2 weeks after Ivan hit in Sept. Due to flooding, all 4 eggs were lost.I didn't know about incubation last year when she laid, so I just protected the nest. Funny thing is, she dissappeared about 1 week before the hurricane hit. She took my 3 footed male with her. (By 3 feet I mean he only had 3 feet. The leg was there, just no foot.) Wonder if they could sense the storm??
