That looks like a lep, lep (Crotalus lepidus lepidus) to me.

Clearly a Banded Rock Rattlesnake (C.l.klauberi). As currently recognized, there are 4 "main" morphological differences between the two...
1. Mottled Rocks have, well, mottling,
2. Postocular stripe - lep leps have this very clearly defined, klauberi do not,
3. Dual nuchal blotches - lep leps have paired nuchal blotches, klauberi typically have them "fused" into one,
4. Anterior blotches are faded in lep leps. Always. The posterior bands are more vivid than the anterior ones. In klauberi, they are the same anteriorly as they are posteriorly.
Those, plus the fact that it is from the Sierra Madre Occidental!! Lep leps only occur in eastern Chihuahua...
