Whoa. I can't imagine what that guy thought initially. I think that these pictures are pretty real if you ask me. Where did they find the snake? I always thought that even the arge snake could kill you but not swallow an adult due to the shoulders being in the way as they are not like other animals.

this photo I think was taken from indonesia or somewhere in Southeast Asia. it's a Retic, a very large one.

This is exactly why retics, burm and other larger boids get a bad name. This is probably a very rare case and they do have other pictures and info on this case where the original person pulled it from.

Actually, the human shoulders appear to be less of a prolem for these huge boiids, than presumed! They have been known to easily fold it, making the human body sort of bullet shaped and convenient to slide down the gullet. Since then I have read an authentic news in Wshington post (2002) about an instance when an african boy of 15 was ambushed ans swallowed by a python while picking fruits with his friends. The friends were scared and climbed up a tree and told a graphic detail of the entire process (how horrible for them to watch their friend being swallowed!!) They say that once the snake threw coils around the boy, he fainted and apparently died without uttering a sound and after a few minutes of sniffing around, the snake proceeded to swallow the boy. Only after it slithered away did the boys get courage to run to their villages. The moral here is... if walking around in a python preserve, watch over your shoulders!!

This looks real to me. It would be one hell of a tight fit though! I don't know what is more disturbing, that is could be real or that somebody could have climbed in there to fake it!! :0 Ohh well, the circle of life goes on........

Hello
Maybe its just me, but I have kept and still keep many large boids, Anacondas, Burms, exc... And well when they get older and bigger, they slow down alot. Like getting from one side of the room to the other. Now they are still really fast within their striking range. So either this person is really really slow, and couldn't run away from the snake. Whitch I doubt the snake would be chasing him anyways. Or this person saw a big snake went over to it, maybe poked it and got wraped up. I think it is that one, so it is his own fault. If this is even real. Anyways, my point being that I think you would be have to be really stupid to get eaten by a snake. Well that is just my two cents. Peace

Makes one who is ever in this situation wish that he/she was Beetlejuice with the spines and all.
On a serious note, creeped the hell outta me when I saw this but like many have said, life goes on for the rest of us.

Yeah well that just super sucks to be that guy. if this is real, i think that they should have killed the snake at least to necropsy it to see if it really was a person it ate, especially if they suspected it to have eaten a person. at least the snake had a last meal

Personally, I'm getting tired of seeing pics like this. I don't like to see dead people or dead snakes. Lets face it, snakes are hated by the majority of the world(except for us), and they immediately try to kill every harmless snakes they see. When pics like this fake or not, are spread around for uneducated people to see(by that I mean people that are not very educated about snakes and don't care to be) then it reinforces their idea that all snakes should be killed on sight. Look at the evidence, snakes are one of the fastest disappearing creatures on earth, and I think we should be contributing to their success, not failure. Just my thoughts.

Looks fake to me I believe they caught the big snake thats aparent. This wouldnt be the first fake pic that came out of Indonesia look at the 49 foot snake(oh ya that one shrunk) thats what the keeper said when he was asked why the snake wasnt 49 feet if you look at this mans body it dont apear crushed. If you ever saw a regurged mouse or rat you would know what I mean. Also looks like the man is feet first ? I would think a snake would take him head first ? who knows I dont understand why people post stuff like this to give snake haters amo
