This was caught in my yard the day of my daughter's 2nd birthday party. There is also a larger one that frequents our yard as well.
Does anyone know what this is??
That's not a venomous snake at all. Cottomouth young are dark like adults and have vertical pupils. That is a racer, appears to be only a couple weeks old.

Also if you live in southern states or anywhere it is recommended that you do some research on the animals in your area so as not to confuse the harmless for the dangerous.
