Oh, I really like the background. It's a great cage. Do beardies do well on wood? I've never kept them, I've only seen them on sand. Sand causes impaction though, so you may have a good idea there.

I isn`t wood ;) it is coco. I can`t have sand in beardies cage becouse my biggest female like to eat it ;)

Your beardie is probubly eating the sand to get more calcium because there isnt enough in the diet. try adding more calcium to the diet and try sand:)

Adult beardies once a week have insect with calcium and other minerals and with witamins (young beardies, pregnant females and females after eggs: twice a week).I think that is enough calcium and minerals for them ;) I know that beardies sometimes eat sand becouse deficiency of minerals but rather not in this case.
