I took a look at your website, and I think if you're serious about breeding beardies, you could be doing a better job. If you are looking to make money from this, breeding normal beardies won't do much for you. One of your males looked a little skinny to me. Maybe it was the way he was sitting, but i can't tell much from a picture. I also noticed you were using sand for your substrate. Sand can be easily ingested and become compacted in the stomach. Didnt your qualified reptile veterinarian warn you about this...?

Hey there. I’m not a serious breeder or anything. I pretty much just sell to local pet stores in my area, where color doesn’t matter. My website was originally intended for my clients (pet stores) to see what I have available at any given time. I don’t even use that website anymore. As far as a skinny male, I know what picture you are talking about, and it’s differently just the angle. He’s VERY FAT! About sand- it is fine to use if done properly. Lots of people use sand. If it were as big of a problem as everyone makes it out to be, there would be lots of dead beardies in Australia with impacted stomached. I’m not saying it can’t happen, I’m just saying if you use fine sand, that not dusty, it serves more good than bad. Beardies love to dig in it and go to sleep at night. Its also very naturalistic and easy to clean, just use a pooper-scooper. I have used it for years with out a problem. Thanks for your comment.

oh yeah, my qualifyed reptile veterinarian (who is one of the best in my state) also uses sand with her animals, and her beardie, that i bred for her. I dont, however use it on my babies. thats risky. thanks for the comments.
