What a beautiful "froggy" frog! How does it come by the "growling" description?

sorry tereza im answering all the Q's stated towards you!!!
this frog is called "growling grass frog" because of the call it makes, a deep growl. it kinda sounds like a moterbike reving.

Hi,
that is correct, the males and sometimes female have a call that is similar in sound to a growling grunk noise. Some people think they sound like a motorbike reving and so the name motorbike frog was also placed onto the frog.
