This was taken this past spring when Spider had just turned a year old - my how time flies! Seems it wasn't long ago at all that she was a just a fuzzy black and white foal, new to the world!

LOL - You know, I wasn't even thinking about this being the same picture that was used on our screens! We were working out something with our galleries and they told us to post pictures...so I went through and picked a ton of favorites...

I do have to say though that I was really pleased/honored/tickled that she was chosen as the PetHobbyist's equine poster child :) I didn't have any say in it so it wasn't my doing (though I think my bias would have swung the vote in her favor if I had!) She's my pride and joy, having been born of my favorite mare and by my favorite stud...and my first "home-bred" filly to boot!

Yep, LOL, she tends to stand out, even in my pasture of spots :) Of course, I'll not tell her that you called her a "him"...my mares get very uppity about that! Even my stud stays out of their way - especially when they are in foal and cranky!

Thank you Bonita!

She does move very nicely :) I haven't decided exactly what I want to do with her next year. Have thought about showing her halter and most colorful, but then again she'll be awful fun to ride. I guess time will tell!

Well, I had a more trained eye look at here this past week ;-) (Thanks Brian!) and we're looking at probably showing her in most colorful and Hunter in Hand next year. Of course, that also allows us to start riding her in the spring too! I'm thinking that with her personality, it won't be too long before she'll be toting my little girl in the arena - Emma's already laid claim to this filly!
