I love salamanders ESP slimies but to hard to keep at cool temps they like in summer as I only use ac when home so never got any but great looking.

I didn't keep him/her, I just took some pics and let him go. There was another with him, but I didn't find him/her when I put this one back.

You did the right thing letting him go . I love salamanders but they do much better in the wild free than in captivity.
We used to have lots great looking spotteds around here I used to find them in my yard than the state sprayed for mosquitos and though that was 5 yrs ago they dissapeared .
Slimy sallys I have never seen but love the smallish types of sallys the best.

I found him in my back yard!!!! I've seen a couple more since this one.
