How in the WORLD did you manage to do that? I think I know what kind of tank your using, a lee one made for hermit crabs? I would probably not put anything in it, only because I heard If you put more than female dart in, they try to drown each other and males are very terrirtorial. Secondly because most newt and slamaders are more aquatic and I don't see any water in their except maybe humidity.

did you consider just leaving it a terrarium? Sometimes I like to see an empty cage. It makes me think of the time when there were no animals on earth. Almost lonely.

Herpguy... newts and Salys are only aquatic in their very early phases(with one exception). all you need to do is put a little tiny pool(even a water dish) when the female gets pregnant and raise the tadds somewhere else. there wil be no problem putting those in that tank. and its true that male Darts are territorial and thats why everyone only has one male in the terrarium and the rest are females... never heard of them drowning eachother...

Gunga_din u crack me up lol.

Thanks for the coments! I used 100% silicone and patient to glue the dirt. I was thinking of putting in a small tree frog. There isn't any pools of water but it stays humid. The temps range from 70-75 during the day and will drop as low to 60 at night but averages in the mid 60's. I could get if warmer if I can figure out a safe heater. The tank is a 2.5 gallon bowfront eclipse tank that I bought for just a few bucks. I have a 13watt compact flourescent light above it. I think there would be enough room for a pair of thumbnail darts or reed frogs.
