Aberrant Chocolate California Kingsnake Juvenile, Day of purchase. This snake has impressed me first day by eating in an unfamiliar environment on first day.

By definition, that is a Mendota Kingsnake. The term "Chocolate" is used to describe cali kings with light brownish colored bands. Your snake is typical of Mendota(or Melanistic) Cali Kings. Very nice. I've been looking to get some. :)

Thank you for that information. The breeder LLLReptile, refered to it only as a Chocolate Cal-King. It was only through my own short stint at research that I determined it to be aberrant.
