Before shedding did your little amel just sit around in roughly the same place in a hide for a long time? And if so, how long was it from when you first noticed the dulling in color and reclusiveness before the little guy shed?

I hope you get this message as I didn't see any 'reply to comment' thing. Anyway Yes my amel completely stayed out of site for a whole week before one day when I came to check on him and I caught him shedding. I noticed he was dullish a little bit about 2 days before the week when he was reclusive and always was in his hide. The process is Clear, milky and dullish, clear, shed. Hope that helped!

Cool. Just wanted to make sure she isn't dying or something. She isn't dead but literally hasn't moved more than an inch in 3 days. I'm assuming she sticks her head out the door to the water dish when I'm not around. Can't wait to see how the new skin looks. Thanks again.

No problem, Its NOT dead nor is it sick, they do this because (most likely) they can't see good. Just make sure she has her water. Next week you will look in her cage and see a vivid bright newly shed snake! Good luck with your corn.

also.. their eyes will go blue, which decreases their vision so they choose to hide (in the wild to avoid predatures) it makes them feel safer.
