"Sleepy" is the colloquial name in South Australia, given to the Shingleback Lizard (Trachydosaurus rugosus). It grows to about 14" long and is very chunky and robust. They are called "sleepy" because they are normally slow moving and innofensive. They tame easily and make good pets.
