This is my adult male crested named "spike". I am having a problem and need some advice on what to do with a problem concerning his eye. About 4 days ago I was taking some photos of him and noticed the problem seen in this pic. I tried to flush his eye with some water but it didnt help. I have waited a few days thinking it would get better but it has not changed. It looks as if his "eyelashes" are stuck to his eye. When I tried to slightly brush the skin back you could tell it put some pressure on the eye as if they were stuck. Any suggestions? I have a wonderful vet locally that I can take him to but first I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and if it will clear up without medical help. Thanks in advance.
Take it too the vet. WHY would you want to listen to people on a website that might actually not know what the hell there talking about? Atleast with a vet your paying that vet so if he/she wants money they better tell you whats going on. In short...Take it to the vet.

I agree. Whether or not someone here could tell you what it was, it would likely need medical attention anyways. With small animals you never want to sit around and wait to see what happens. Things can get really bad really fast. Take it to the vet pronto.
Good luck with your little one.

Good news! Im just now getting to add this but it happened a few days ago. After posting the pics of this little guy I noticed he looked like he was going to shed soon. The next day around noon he did. Now everything has cleared up fine and he is completely back to normal. I am so glad that he is ok now!
