Keywords: Gould's Monitor, Sand Goanna
Gould's Monitors (Varanus gouldii). These 2 adult males were taken from the wild (on permit) near Renmark, South Australia. They settled well into an outside enclosure in suburban Adelaide. Recently an adult female was introduce and it is hoped that breeding will result. The males ar about 36" long and the female 30". Feel free to check out the rest of my "Australiana" gallery and make comments if you wish. Regards, Frilly.

Thanks for your comments, Andrzej. Sounds like you really like reptiles! Gould's monitors are only found in Australia, in the wild, but I believe they are being kept and bred in the U.S.A. Perhaps someone else can put you on to breeders of monitors, crocs and alligators. Regards, Frilly.
