Keywords: Dragon cage

This cage is for my Bearded Dragon. Unfortunatly, you can not see the heat panel at the top. They work great for all reptiles.

Isn't that a little to arboreal for bearded dragons?

what's wrong with it being arboreal? Some of my dragons love to climb, some don't. Theres nothing wrong with a vertically oriented cage as long as there is still plenty of floor space. Though I do hope that's for a smaller dragon, as those limbs look a little small. Is that grapewood you have in there?

Copa:
Not sure which show you are referring to, I have been on a few and I don’t recall a ball python.

leoking182:
Not at all, my Dragon loves to climb.

Heseigojira:
You are absolute right. Floor space is important. That cage in the photo is 4 and half feet deep, just under 4 feet wide and 5 feet high. Plenty of floor space and climbing space. This allows for exercise.
Also heat rises to the top levels allow basking spots up in the 90-100 degree range while the bottom remains cooler around 75.

ok i am not trying to be rude but beardies if they fell, which can possible occur in all types of inclosures could get SERIOUSLY injured, that is way high up, where's the basking area?? and whats the huge water dish? that raises the humiditywhich can cause Resp infections and fugus. another issue is that beardies do like to climb and the higher up shows dominence but they do not like to be way up.

O man im laughing pretty good,

First off. you want humidity. im not sure what requirements of humidity is needed for bearded cuz i dont own one. but im pretty sure they need some humidity. and second off. if your a good herper and i think she is. you will clean there cage thus getting rid of any fungus that may occur.

great set up. looks like the bearded will love it. and are probably loving it right now. great BRB you have and stunning albino burm. they are lucky reptiles for having owners like you and your husband.

i watch animal planet all the time. but have yet seen you on there. but im hoping i will get a chance to see your magic tricks with your animals.

Not rude at all, glad you brought it up.
Yes the possibility is there for the Dragon to fall but I have never seen such happen. Of course I know that is no guarantee that is never will fall but in 12 years of dragon care it does seem unlikely. I do see him scamper up the branches as if he was Spiderman so I never really concerned myself with falling but if others post saying their dragons have fallen or had such a problem I would like to hear about it. I don’t want to have an unsafe cage but again it has never been a problem. I appreciate your concern and that is why forums are so helpful. We all can’t think of everything but together we can do so much…

The water dish is large enough to allow him to soak and he does. You are wrong however in assuming that it creates too much humidity. The top is a screen top and levels are usually very low.
As stated at the top of this page there is a radiant heat panel in the top corner allowing him to move closer for basking or away to regulate his temps.
