This is the one dragon we have decided to hold back from our 2005 babies, our Daughter named her Salsa, fits well I think.

oh, she is gorgeous. one of the more vibrant hues of red that i have seen. she would have gone for quite a bit, but i can see why you would want to keep her! such a fitting name too. it fits her perfectly.

Thanks all, we appreciate the complements. She is pretty awesome; I’m sure we could sell her for quite a bit but after keeping her around for six months, everyone was attached.

Thanks for the complements on her, she is 11 months old now and is still the most amazing colored female we have ever seen (anywhere!). The first 2006 clutch of her brothers and sister hatched about a week ago, can’t wait until they start coloring up.

She is just about 18 inches now and filling out, I forgot to weigh her the other day when I had the scale out so not sure what her current weight is. We always wait until their second year anyway. Her dad is a big dude, almost 22 inches and 578 grams (he’s been busy though and lost a few grams), mom is average size about 18 inches 428 grams but she’s laid a few clutches so it should gain a little now too.

We call them “Rainbows” because of the mix of colors. Her sister “Ginger”, on the cover of the Professional Breeder Series book displays a better mix of color while Salsa has a deeper red. They vary from yellow, orange like Ginger, and deep red like Salsa (we would have to inbreed to make them all look the same – not going to happen). We had her on display at the Anaheim NARBC show for the first time, caused quite a few positive comments and I was amazed by the number of people taking her picture. Dad is up to about 600 grams now that he is not too busy to eat and Salsa is up to 19 inches now. Glad you like them.
