Thanks for your replies! He's turned out to be a great guy! I named him Java because he was off the wall hyper when I first brought him home and the first thing to get his attention was a cup of iced coffee...plus his "brother's" named Dunkin after Dunkin Donuts...so it's a bit of a theme. Actually, he's not a mix and he is registered with UKC, although the pound isn't allowed to give out their papers. I did in fact see them and he's Colby bred. I've noticed a lot of the dogs from the line tend to have bigger ears (why I don't know) while others have your typical pitty ears. It works well when it comes to overcoming BSL issues though I can just call him a boxer mix.
