Yes, it is skin. We let him out to shed, and he was having a little difficulty with a small spot, so we "helped" him out a little bit and forgot to clean it up before we took the picture.

Actaully, he is eating two very large rabbits once a month. And I will never let him go, he is a great snake. We love him very much.

Yeah, I've had three kids since I got him, but I have NO IDEA where they are.....
Seriously, I've had him for four years, so since he was about four.
