this is where my son genghis lives. it is a 175 gallon reptarium. i only use uvb florescents up top w/ 100 watt incandecents. but i have a heatpad in the bottom left corner.

I believe i have the same exact cage, but I laid it down instead of sitting it upright. I have 3 water dragons all juvenile. Do you have any trouble maintaining heat b/c of the mesh? Im new, but I will hopefully have pics up soon.

No, alot of people think the the open air environment actually makes it easier for the lizard to thermo-regulate because he could just reposition himself to where ever the right amount of heat is. Actually i think that this type of setup makes the lizard more active because of the temperature gradient. Best setup ive ever had and definately the best lizard.
