Keywords: hybrid panther

This guy is supposedly a 50 50 cross between an Ambilobe, and an animal from St. Marie. All I know is....he has more shades than any panther I've ever seen. This is him in his...."i'm not sure" colors.

Nooo...! Who would mix a Ste. Marie? I'm positive those things are quite rare, although more because they arn't popular...

Your tellin me. I bought this guy as a Blue Bar Ambilobe from a breeder almost a year ago. As he aged.....he wasn't exactly coloring up like I had expected. I contacted the breeder. The breeder was fortunately honest with me, and explained that in a shipment of WC females that he obtained from an importer as Ambilobes.....he apparentlly ended up with a couple st. marie animals. One of the st. marie females was gravid apon import, and the other was supposedly bred to the male Ambilobe......hence the resulting cross.....I was pretty dissapointed that he didn't turn out to be the stunning ambilobe I wanted....but I must say this guy does intrigue me. I like him.
