Keywords: ball python, paper bag, feeding

I feed my ball python by putting her in a paper bag and dangling a thawed rat over her. I leave the bag in her cage while I'm doing this. The advantage to this technique is that she isn't on bedding when I feed her, but I don't have to handle her after she's eaten. I just close the cage and let her climb out of the bag when she's ready. Typically, I don't retrieve the bag for two days to avoid any kind of disturbance while she digests. This time, she climbed the branch to look back into the bag two days after feeding. I wondered whether she smelled the old rodents and was looking for another meal.
