Here is a cute picture of my freshwater eel, Dinosaur jr. He's about 4" long now. He looks like a miniature sea serpent with his little protruding tubular nostrils and "spiked" fins along his back. He has amazing little front flippers that he not only swims with, but uses them to support and lift himself off the floor of the aquarium. He's a feisty little creature that likes meaty foods, such as worms, shrimp and various pieces of fresh or frozen fish. He originates from the muddy ponds of Africa.
