looks really good, but do you have a basking light in there, they need it pretty hot. if you don't, just get one that heats teh basking temp. to 95+. also, do you have a water dish, you don't need one as long as you soak it regularly. looks very nice, i think your monitor will enjoy it!

hello,
I dont have a basking light, but i have a heat pad and it makes a great heat gradient, I also have an uvb 2.0 light ;)

a heating pad really isn't going to give off enough heat for a monitor, and the 2.0 bulbs are made for amphibians who need almost no UVB light. the tank is tall, so your animal is probally getting no UVB light because 1) the bulb you have produces almost no UVB rays, and 2) even if that bulb did produce enough UVB it would be too far away. you should be using at least a 10.0, they go further than most other florescents. i would suggest getting some kind of flood that has UVB. contact me if you have any questions :)

the tank is not to tall. he can always just add more dirt for burrowing which is better. savs dont need any full spectrum lighting and a heat pad wont suffice. go down to Lowes or Home Depot and get a 45 watt halogen flood light. another thing, 95 is way too cool for a basking spot for a sav. you want it at atleast 120.
