The cage is good actually just get rid of that bedding add Dirt about 8inches of it or more so he can have a nice burrow to feel safe and go into whenever. Also the only other thing add more branches for him to climb on like maybe some over the waterbowl to the other side of the tank or something

I glued pieces of towel on the glass so he can climb all throughout the cage. He has enough hide spots (like 3 or 4) on cold and hot side of the cage. I dont like giving him dirt to burrow because he will always be underground. Thats why I give him a lot of hides instead.

Cool cool, BUT not giving him dirt is not really a option for you its what the monitor MUST have its just how it is. Just stick in like 3 branches more.

I was just wondering what is the temperment like on your mangrove? I'm guessing that they are pretty flighty?
