I am working on his summer home, there is a cave under the tree stump/roots. He can swim underneath and go back 7 ft. The tub is going to be a waterfall when i get it level.
Awesome setup! What are you using for filtration/ whats the size of the total enclosure? I see you have fencing around it, do you have any problems with him trying to dig or does it work pretty well for him? Great to see an awesome animal in such a naturalistic habitat! Mad props on the whole thing!!

Thanks for the comments, right now I drain and replace the water. I dont have a liner so when i try to put in pumps they get stopped up from the mud and dirt. So I am adding a large waterfall( to help water flow). Thats the brown tub in the middle. The enclosure is 120 square ft. 20 wide and 40 long. He has never tried to dig out or climb for that matter. I am going to add some tarp on the fencing so he cant see out and be tempted. I am just fortunate enough to have enough land to give him something outside. And just keep adding on as he grows. I will eventually give him a concrete pond and a outside shed for winter. Thanks again Charles

That concrete pond will be awesome. Do you plan on keeping it looking natural like this or do you plan on goin with the more clean and easier to manage idea. How much longer do you think Pac will be able to stay in this enclosure and what's goin to be the size of his final setup. This is such an awesome setup you should think about getting another gator or caiman if possible!!

I plan on having my new house built on my parents 6 acres. When I do that I am building his concrete pond in the back yard. I am thinking his space will be 4 times the size he has now. I want to make the pond to have different depths from 1- 8feet. There will be a overflow pond also that will be all naturual. The concrete pond will have sand, rocks, dirt, mud on the bottom so he doesnt scratch his claws. It will also have a nice filter and waterfall system that I most likely will have installed by pros. I plan on getting him a girl but have not been able to find a 3-5 footer. there are large red ear sliders with him now that bask on his back. so he has some company, but I know he would love a real friend. my goal is to also have his winter home placed outside. it will be shed with a pond inside and heat. The shed will be built onto my house so i can see him through my living or dining room window( which will be replaced with a larger type window). that way i open the shed in the spring he goes out and in the fall i walk him back into it. right now i have to catch him a pick him up carry him 150ft into my basement. very hard to do since he is over 100lbs and it stressess him out. he wont eat for weeks after being handled now. thanks again for your comments and if you know of anyone with a girl please drop me a line

That'll be the ultimate routine setup once it's completed!...as for a girl for him there's always some larger ones in the classifieds here on kingsnake, usually around the $100-$300 range. But i don't know where you're located and what the laws are for shipping crocodilians between state lines. But definately check it out, hope to see him with a nice looking girl soon in the future!!
