i agree. dirt is alot better. rabbit pellets are for rabbits, not monitors. try reading the monitor forum on this site.

also it might not be hiding because it doesnt have any good hides.

if you dont believe us, then just test it out. i wouldnt be surprised if it dies in a few months (or less).

sorry for being so harsh, but if you really do care for your monitor, go and read the forum, ask questions, research.

best of luck

Your monitor looks great mate. Tho the other folks here are right about the dirt and the hides and yah heat rocks can be problematic. Red earth usually works well for molding hides (with the aid of wood) so have a blast. Also having Savanna grass in there would look great. You probubly wouldnt need it tho it might make your Savy feel a little more comfortable. Yours is the choosing. Best of luck,

i dissagree sand, white and red, but have some thing like a towel u put in where he eats, unless he eats live, then i agree no sand nore pellets but nore dirt, maybe put him in a seperate tank for feeding, but get him used to a daily regiment and if u put him in cold water and cup it over his body i'll encourage him to poop...just a tip though and YES it DOES work...just takes a little bit of time.
