Wow. I love carpets. Alright, here is my question. I am in the market for another snake. I want a carpet, not sure what kind or sex. My question is, how big/long do the males get versus the females? I have searched the web but it is very vague. Thanks.

Well there are several subspecies of the carpets and they all vary a little bit in size... the irian jayas, the jungles, the diamonds, the coastals, the centralians, and there are more that should be popping up soon...
The coastals and diamonds are the largest. Females can range from 7.5 - 10' as adults and males are closer to 7-8'. The Irian Jayas are the smallest and I've heard (I don't have any of these) the males reach 4.5-5.5' and the females 5-6'. The jungles and centralians fall between the two. What size are you looking for? There's also a big difference between them in price... hopefully that helps a little, anything else I can try to help with?
