Went outside lastnight to take a break and was just looking around the porch when I spotted this lizard-like shape by the front door that I just came through. Well, to my amazement I see that it is a newt. Maybe a red eft of the red spotted newt? Well, got this little feller into a container before all the cats(over 10) notice him/her and decide it is playtime. When I got better light on the newt I could then see that it is not the red eft but an adult...a very small adult. It is about 2 inches in length. Most people have to go elswhere to find herps, not me, they seem to come to me :)
