I nicknamed this guy "Rusty",for obvious reasons.when looking for "holdbacks" in this project,I rely on a color explosion that occurs 12,to 24 hours after feeding,I believe this is the result of an enzyme released during the digestive process. the end result in color may change many times over the course of maturation,but it has proven to be a reliable method of identification for the last 10 years,and I pay more attention to this than to pattern aberrancies.
