Get rid of the sand~as it can impact your gecko~ try using paper towels or slate tiles. More importantly Get Rid of That Heat Rock Right NOW! heat rocks are very dangerous, they tend to surge and cause burns. Get an under the tank heater. Also heat bulbs can stress your gecko, if you insist on having a bulb, get a red one as it will not register as light to your gecko. Your little guy needs somemore hides, at least 3 hides. 2 on the warm side~one that is humid(rubber made container with a hole in the side or top with wet paper towels inside) to help your gecko shed and one that is dry and at least one on the cool side that is dry. Hope that helps

Dont worry about the sand there is nothing wrong with sand. These geckos are from the pakistan and around there where there is lots of sand. These little guys live in sand in the wild. If you are worried about him eating sand then you can check his fecal matter and see weather or not it has sand in it. If there is then you can mist the sand with water to keep it packed together and if that dosent help then get rid of it. But like i said don't worry about it they dont eat sand if they are older anyways. make sure you feed them anough and give them calcium so they dont eat it looking for nutrients.

keep the sand unless hes licking it add a piece of driftwood to climb and/or some plastic(easy to care for) with the suction cups on them so they'll climb and feel more secure
