This is pure animal cruelty! My god I have never seen such a fat sav in my hole life! Please put this animal on a pure insect diet!! I know I do at this time, but offending you is not my purpose. I just want was is best for the animal. I have kept savs for years so I just want to give you some advice. This savannah monitor will die in 2years,probably ealier, cause of fat lever and kidney failure. Please feed less and feed grasshoppers, snails, large crickets and stay away from rodents for a veeeeery long time. And throw away the cat/dogfood. greetings, barry (excuse my for my bad english language, I am from holland)

greetings barry.
first of all i didnt got ofended.
let me explain the story of this sav ok?
when it got to me he was half his size and the used to ate once per week. now he eats daily and he gets 2 or 3 hours DAILY of exercise and natural sunlight. he eats 2 hamsters and 50 grms of meat on daily basis, but the funny stuff about this sav is the if he doesnt eat daily he gets super thin real fast, the metabolism on this guy itīs super fast. on the beggining i thought he had parasites or something but i went to a specialized vet and he checked it out. The only thing "wrong" with this guy is the metabolism, its almost twice as fast as normal. thank you anyway for your concern. greetings Shelak (sorry the bad english im from Mexico)

Ive loved reptiles since i was about 3 or 4. Or atleast once i realized you couldnt have dinosaurs as pets. Im currently pre-vet at UC Davis, go aggies ! I have a Western Hognose, a ball, a corn, a cali king, a sav, and a horned frog.

WOw thats amazing, i wonder if you could put him on a metabolism inhibitor, like the oppisite of L-thyroxine? (sorry for bad spelling im english you know) lol Rating: 5/5
