It looks female to me. Short,fat,wide tail and large plastral opening. Nice Yniphora! Can we see some carapce and head photos?

I would say a female but this Angonoka is young and I remember that for many years one of my radiated males looked like a female. Once again Joss thanks for sharing your amazing photos. Can you show us more pics of your Astrochelys yniphora ?

I can't help thinking that it's too young and the gular scules can grow, but the short tail can tell it's a female...

I will say it's a female looking at the plastron near the tail, it is wide and it's tail is short. Cause usually females plastron are flat and wider for an easier egg delivery process.
